Be a “Design Star” at your local bead store.
Create an original piece of jewelry that is either strung or bead woven and show your love of beads!
Stringing and Bead Weaving Category
Two Winners Per Category

$100 or $50 Gift Certificates
Contest is open to all customers and is FREE to enter.
Employees and family members of local bead stores affiliated with the SCLBSA and professional and/or paid bead instructors are not eligible.

 

Entry Deadline: June 23, 2012
Please submit entry to your participating SCLBSA local bead store.
Winners Announced: June 27, 2012
All entries will be on display from June 30 – July 7 at store submitted to.

Summer Workshops!

Summer Workshops at Beadniks

Acquire new skills and hone some old ones with these inspirational projects. These classes are conducted each day

10 a.m. to noon.

Sign up for all five two-hour workshops at a package discount totaling $200 plus a FREE set of tools (value $16.50). Must sign up for all five workshops at the same time. Package deals need not be used in the same week.

Call now and hold your spot with a credit card. Space limited to 4 seats per session. Cancellation fee for single workshops (in the amount of the chosen technique) will apply if enrollment is not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to scheduled workshop.

Mondays — Stretchy and Stringy
(June 27; July 11, 18, 25; August 1, 8, 15)

Stretchy Bracelet & Strung Necklace

Design bracelets on stretchy cord and necklaces on beading wire. Learn how to professionally end your creations with knots and tubes of metal called “crimps.”
Single workshop cost: $50 including all materials.

Tuesdays — Lariat Necklace & Charm Bracelet
(June 28; July 5, 12, 19, 26; August 2, 9, 16)

Lariat Necklace and Charm Bracelet

Learn how to wire wrap, open and close jump rings and attach them to chain as you create a chain lariat necklace and charm bracelet.
Single workshop cost: $50 including all materials.

Wednesdays — Bead Loom
(June 29; July 6, 13, 20, 27; August 3, 10, 17)

Bead Loom Bracelet

Design and create beautiful bracelet made simply of seed beads and string.
Single workshop cost: $45 including all materials, even the bead loom.

Thursdays — Macramé Bracelet
(June 30; July 7, 14, 21, 28; August 4, 11, 18)

Macrame Bracelet

Channel your inner hippie when you knot hemp, rat tail or waxed linen to complete a macramé bracelet with beads.
Single workshop cost: $40 including all materials, even the macramé board.

Fridays — Wire Wrapped Bracelet
(July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12, 19)

Wire Wrapped Pearl Bracelet

Make loop-to-loop connections when you assemble this fun and easy bracelet out of wire and beads.
Single workshop cost: $50 including all materials
